A qualified Engineer with extensive construction experience, Brendan moved into Loss Adjusting in 1994 and over the following 25 years has worked with some of the biggest brands in the Irish Market, including John A. Sisk, Thornton & Partners, Farrell & Associates, and OSG Chartered Loss Adjusters and Sedgwick.
He has managed large teams of adjusters and handled thousands of claims – ranging from minor chimney fires to major catastrophes like the flooding of Cork city & Dublin, the devastating storms of 2008/09 and 2014, and the historical “Big Freeze” of 2010. This inside industry knowledge is what enables him to secure the best possible payouts for his clients.
In late 2017, Brendan was approached by Sedgwick US, to assist them in Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. He spent 6 weeks on secondment to worldwide Insurers in the USA to assist in settling claims following this natural disaster.
Brendan has gathered numerous accolades through his career. He is a past President of the Insurance Institute of Sligo, an active member of the National Council of the Insurance Institute of Ireland, and a sought-after public speaker at Insurance Industry events. He is currently the Honorary Secretary of the Insurance Institute of Sligo.
Brendan is also a committed family man. He is married to Edel who works with him in the business, and Dad to Charlie, Daragh & Sam. He is a keen sportsman, and after an accomplished sporting career of his own, he now dedicates himself to coaching GAA and golf to youngsters in the local community. Brendan takes huge pride in the fact that he gets to help people in their time of need. He is approachable and empathetic, and always open to giving honest and practical advice to the people who seek it.
