Commercial Burglary Insurance Claims
You arrive into work to find your business has been ransacked while you were away. A burglary is something that no one wants to experience. .
The most important thing to do is to notify the Gardaí so they can launch an investigation and give you help and advice on how to proceed with the situation at hand. Do not interfere with anything yet as it is all evidence that needs to be assessed and noted. Once the Gardaí have finished their investigation, your first instinct may be to clean, tidy and dispose of all the damage, but this is a mistake as you need to properly document all damage and account for every little thing. You also need to do an inventory of your belongings to assess what was taken and what was damaged.
Dealing with the aftermath of a burglary in your business can be a very emotional time. You are left feeling angry, scared, vulnerable, stressed and anxious. Important items were lost and damaged with memories, valuables and irreplaceables taken. It’s critical that the business can get back up to full speed as quickly as possible. The last thing you want to do is deal with your insurance company, that is where Brendan steps it. Subsidence Insurance Claims
Subsidence is a gradual downward movement in the ground and supporting structure of your home with the walls and foundations being affected. Subsidence is a slowly occurring issue. You may not even notice any signs early on. The movement of the ground underneath your home causes small cracks to appear, that are naked to the eye at first. These cracks slowly expand to become 3mm wide or more. The first signs you notice can be the plaster on your wall getting a crack that may spread to resemble lightning bolts up the walls, you may also notice your doors and windows are sticking and jamming or your skirting boards are falling off the walls. You may also find that your floor is uneven and that floors are lifting. These are all signs that your home is experiencing subsidence.
Subsidence has many causes including:
- Having trees planted close to your house can cause the soil to shift and dry out.
- Living in an older building puts your home more at risk of subsidence as foundations may be shallower.
- Drought conditions and dry weather can quickly dry up the soil.
- Shoddy workmanship from previous structural works can leave soil and foundations uneven.
- Water leakages and flooding can cause the soil to become saturated and your home to sink.
If your home is located close to old mines the ground may be unstable and prone to subsidence occurring.
So what are your next steps?
Well your home will have to be examined by a professional to determine what the problem is. Do not commence any repair work until you get your home assessed. This is where Brendan can step in and save you the hassle of having to deal with your insurer on your own. It can be intimidating to argue your case to get the compensation that you deserve. Some people may not even apply for compensation as the process is too intimidating for them to deal with. Brendan will talk with you and then visit your home and conduct an assessment as to the damage done and the costs associated with it. He will then contact your insurer on your behalf and ensure that you get the compensation that you deserve. He makes the process of claiming easy and stress-free, which is exactly how it should be.

While many insurance companies will assist you at the outset of your fire claim, their only responsibility is to ensure costs are covered to restore your property and replace affected contents. The most stressful and time-consuming day-to-day elements will be left to you to organise and oversee alone if you do not appoint a Loss Assessor
There is no reason why your insurance company or Loss Adjuster should discourage you from appointing your own Loss Assessor to manage your fire insurance claim. If your Loss Adjuster is trying to dissuade you from using our services, you should question why they are against the idea of you being equally represented. After all, a Loss Assessor can only help a policyholder claim for what is legally covered within their insurance policy
We provide a range of services including public loss assessing, claims consultation and even pre-loss assessments to examine your property and make sure you are not under-insured or over-insured.
The types of claims we manage include:
- Fire, explosion, lightning, earthquake
- Storm or Flood
